WISDOM TEETH EXTRACTIONS

Wisdom teeth extractions are complex procedures that must be performed by competent professionals. These extractions involve certain potential drawbacks to consider, such as proximity to the inferior dental nerve or the position of the teeth in relation to the mandibular angle. These molars typically emerge in the mouth around the age of 17 or 18.

TOOTH EXPOSURE

During the tooth replacement process, some teeth become trapped inside the jaw or maxilla, unable to erupt naturally. It must be decided whether the tooth should be extracted or exposed to allow traction with an orthodontic appliance. The most commonly affected teeth are wisdom teeth and upper canines.

BIOPSY/ORAL PATHOLOGY

Many biological problems that affect general health manifest in the mouth, including syndromes, fungal infections (candidiasis), premalignant mucosal lesions (leukoplakia), and even mucosal malignant lesions (carcinomas). All of these issues require immediate attention and can be diagnosed in our clinic after a thorough review by our specialist.

FRENECTOMY / FRENULECTOMY

Inside the mouth are certain “ligaments” that can cause various abnormalities and issues. These ligaments, known as frenum, can lead to problems such as tooth separation and receding gums. The surgical removal of these frenum is called a frenectomy.

FRENULECTOMY

This procedure involves cutting the lingual frenulum. A short frenulum (tongue-tie) can even hinder the proper pronunciation of certain words.
