Dr. Mesia is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He received a Master in Dental Science and Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Currently, he has an appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontology at the University of Florida.

Prior his periodontal training, Dr. Mesia completed two years of residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Connecticut Health Center and received his Dental Degree at the Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University (in Lima, Peru).

His combined training with Implant Dentistry provides him with a unique perspective in optimizing patient’s oral health care both functionally and esthetically. Dr. Mesia is also licensed to administer intravenous conscious sedation to provide treatment in a comfortable relaxing environment.

In his free time he enjoys biking, running, and spending time with his wife and three children.
