Periodontics, Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology

Dr. Ruben Mesia is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He received a Master’s in Dental Science and a Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Florida College of Dentistry.

Currently, he holds an appointment as a Courtesy Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontology at the University of Florida. Before his periodontal training, Dr. Mesia completed two years of residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Connecticut Health Center and earned his Dental Degree at the Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University (in Lima, Peru). His combined training in Implant Dentistry provides him with a unique perspective on optimizing patients’ oral health care both functionally and aesthetically.

Dr. Mesia is also licensed to administer intravenous conscious sedation to provide treatment in a comfortable, relaxing environment. In his free time, he enjoys biking, running and spending time with his wife and three children.

Orthodontist, specializes in creating beautiful smiles for children and adults

After receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, he obtained a certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science in Dentistry in Oral Biology from Temple University Dental School in Philadelphia. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Association of Orthodontists, Hillsborough County Dental Association, West Coast District Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Southern Association of Orthodontists, and American Association of Orthodontists.

Dr. Galeano is involved in the community by supporting sports programs and speaking to children about the benefits of orthodontics and dental home care in local school programs.

In his spare time, he enjoys coaching recreational soccer, playing racquetball, and spending quality time with his family.

An experienced dental hygienist, specializing in oral health and prevention

Jose Henry Ferreiras is a registered dental hygienist who epitomizes integrity, energy, hard work, and creative service in every detail of what you could expect from a dental experience. He earned his degree in dental hygiene and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of South Florida (USF). Jose has been working and training as a dental professional since 2008.

As a dental hygienist, Jose focuses mainly on oral health education, disease prevention, maintenance, and oral health optimization by examining and treating patients for signs of oral pathology within his limits.

Jose is a family man with a devotion to his beautiful wife and two children. He is an athlete by nature and a good cook at heart.
